Sears stock higher as retailer narrows losses, says more stores to close Shares of Sears Holdings Corp. Sears said it lost $508 million, or $4.68 a share, in the quarter, compared with a loss of $250 million, or $2.33 a share, in the second quarter of 2017. Sales fell to $3.2 billion, compared with $4.3 billion a year ago, thanks to store closures, the company said.
